About the Beneficiary

Allied Arts is the 2018 OKC Restaurant Week beneficiary. The organization will receive a $1 donation of $1 for each prix fixe lunch, brunch or dinner served by participating restaurants.
Not only will diners receive delicious, custom-made selections for a great price, but each one meal helps support the arts and diversity culture in the OKC metrocentral Oklahoma. Support the arts. They support you! Formed in 1971 as a way for the community to support and engage with Oklahoma’s cultural groups, Allied Arts agencies touch the lives of more than one million people annually, including 545,000 arts experiences for school-age children in the last year.

Allied Arts was formed in 1971 as a way for the community to support and engage with central Oklahoma’s cultural groups. A single donation to Allied Arts helps ensure that a variety of local arts organizations have the tools and resources they need to remain strong and offer quality programming to the public. Together, these agencies touch the lives of more than 1 million people annually, including more than 545,000 arts experiences for school-age children in the last year.

On January 18, Allied Arts will launch a community-wide campaign to raise $3.125 million for central Oklahoma’s cultural community. Campaign funds provide grants to approximately 40 arts and cultural organizations in Oklahoma. For the 26 Allied Arts member agencies, funds are used to offset operating costs; underwrite productions, performances and exhibits; create new programming and provide free and affordable arts programming. In addition, the campaign reaches beyond member agencies by awarding grants to qualified non-profit cultural organizations to expand the reach of arts education and strengthen organizational capacities.

Each year, Allied Arts conducts a community-wide campaign to raise critical funds for the nonprofit arts organizations it supports. All sectors of the community — corporations, foundations, nonprofit organizations and individuals — contribute to the effort to advance the arts. These funds are then distributed to local arts organizations in support of their operating, programming and educational budgets. Allied Arts funding helps these organizations keep ticket prices low and offers free events so more members of the community can experience the arts. Agencies also use campaign funds to provide innovative, hands-on arts education to schoolchildren across the state.

Since it began, Allied Arts has granted raised more than $63 million on behalf of arts organizations.
But it does more than raise money for the arts. It promotes arts education, advocates on behalf of arts organizations and raises awareness of the impact of the arts in our schools, communities and state. It also provides fundraising, technical and organizational management support to help keep our member agencies in strong financial and operating standing and maintain a vibrant, sustainable cultural landscape that makes our community a fantastic place to work, live and play .
